Anno is made by one person. Email reaches me directly and I read everything.

Where did my photo go?

Nothing is saved until you tap Save on the review screen. If you tapped Discard, or went back to the camera, the shot was not kept. This is deliberate, so the library stays clean while you experiment.

Why is my photo a different shape in each decade?

Each decade frames the picture the way its cameras did: 4:3 for film and early digital, 3:2 for the 1990s, square for 2010, tall for 2020. The viewfinder dims everything outside the frame, and what is inside the frame is exactly what gets saved. Video keeps the full frame for now.

What is the date stamp, and can I turn it off?

Every decade adds the date the way that era put it on a photo: handwritten in the 1930s, a lab stamp in the 1950s, orange camera digits in the 1970s and 2000s, a camcorder overlay in the 1980s and 1990s. The year matches the decade, so shooting today in 1980 stamps 1986. Turn it off with the Date Stamp button above Save, or in Settings. It is drawn into the photo, so it cannot be removed after saving.

Can I save a RAW file?

Turn on Save RAW with the RAW button in the viewfinder, or in Settings, and Anno saves an unprocessed DNG next to the graded photo. RAW depends on your iPhone's camera: when the camera cannot provide it while grading live, the option does not appear.

Why is the video silent?

Anno does not yet record audio. Sound for each era is planned: silence for the thirties, tape wow and flutter for the camcorder decades.

Why do old decades look grainy and low contrast?

Because they did. Each decade is built from how photography actually behaved that year. Orthochromatic film blew out skies, pushed Tri-X was grainy, camcorders traded grain for scanlines.

Can I change the decade after taking a photo?

Yes for photos. The review screen has the full dial, so you can shoot first and choose the year afterwards. The frame shape and the date stamp change with it. Video currently bakes the decade in at record time.

Does Anno work without a connection?

The camera does, entirely. There is no account, and shooting, grading, framing and saving all happen on your iPhone. Travel is the one feature that needs a connection, because the photo is remade on a server and sent back.

How do I report a bug?

Email mistryrushi007@gmail.com with your iPhone model, iOS version, and what you were doing. A screen recording helps more than anything else.
